RECRUITMENT & SELECTION PROCEDURES

1. The Criteria :
- Indonesian seaman
- In good mental and good health conditions
- Age between 22-55 for ratings and 22-60 for officers
- Minimum High School graduate and minimum one year sea service for ratings
- Merchant Marine Academy graduate and at least one year sea service for officers / engineers
- International Maritime Organization (IMO) Convention standard

2. The Procedures :
- Promotion
- Recruitment
- Preselection
- English test
- Selection – Interview and Psychotest (if required)
- Sending the Biodata of each candidate for the Principals examination, consideration, and final approval
- Medical examination (IMO standard)
- Completing travel / assignment documents including visa
- Booking air ticket or PTA (Prepaid Ticket Advice)
- Departure / embarkation

3. Time required from selection until departure from Jakarta to Joining Vessel Port :
Minimum 2 (two) working weeks. Possibly 1 (one) working week if all the seaman’s documents are still valid.


STANDARD PROPOSAL

1. Crew Wages :
There are 4 (four) categories :
- ILO (International Labour Organization) standard
- Indonesian Seamen’s Union Standard

- Total Crew Cost ITF standard
- Your own standard

2. Collective Bargaining Agreement and Individual Working Contract :
Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between Foreign Ship Owner and PT. Orca Marine Crewing Agency.

The Foreign Ship Owner, who would like to employ Indonesian Crews should make and sign the CBA, which contains the standard Individual Working Contract and other regulations, compensation, insurance, etc.
